
My third project with Splash Damage was Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Due to a lack of artists and my passion for architecture, for this game I took on responsibility for creating buildings and compounds and detailing interiors/exteriors throughout all of the levels as well as optimization, scripting and implementation of AI bots on some levels and the collision and bug fixing pass. I also helped out on the texturing of the terrain in several of the maps using the custom Megatexture technology which was developed by Splash Damage and id Software for ETQW and later used in Rage.
Area 22

This map was designed by Mark Fry (the lead level designer on the project) and I helped out with the layout, construction and detailing of many of the buildings and compounds as well as stamping details in the Megatexture, prop placement and optimizations.

Canyon

As with the other maps in this game, for Canyon, I was largely responsible for detailing interiors, stamping details into the Megatexture on the terrain, cover placement, optimization and constructing and texturing the buildings throughout the level. I also worked on AI bot scripting for this map and on some interior and compound layouts including the caves section and spawn areas.

Island

I had a small role of exterior building and structure building as well as detailing interiors and optimization on some areas of the Island map.

Salvage

For salvage (designed by David Edwards) I created and textured many of the exterior buildings and also the shell of the main finale building as well as detailing and cover placement throughout the map.

Slipgate

As with Area 22 I worked closely with Lead Level Designer Mark Fry to create this map from his initial layout design. On Slipgate my responsibility was on constructing buildings at the main GDF base, working on the construction of the desolated village near the slipgate and some alien architecture on the snow side of the map. I also worked on detailing of all interiors and the exterior of the village, collision and also "stamping" details into the Megatexture.

Volcano

For this map I worked again with David Edwards and Mark Fry to create a level set on the volcanic White Island near New Zealand. As with the other maps i created buildings and facades but also worked on the interior layout for a number of buildings in the map.
